Man United turn in huge 7-0 win over Barnsley ahead of Premier League return
Recording their biggest win in the Erik ten Hag era, Man United cruised to success against League One side, Barnsley overnight in the Carabao Cup – enjoying a roughshod run en route to a 7-0 win at home.
Man United, who managed to strike the league cup as the first piece of silverware under the tenure of Dutch head coach, ten Hag, started impressively at Old Trafford overnight, with an early strike from Marcus Rashford.
Soon thereafter, Man United would add a second and third before half time with Antony converting a penalty, and Alejandro Garnacho scoring before the break.
Just moments into the second half, Garnacho and Rashford would complete the rout – with Danish midfielder, Christian Eriksen adding a sixth and seventh with a late brace.
