7. Alphonso Davies

Alphonso Davies

Wing Back Alphonso Davies has played nearly 300 times for German juggernauts Bayern Munich and scored 25 goals throughout his club career to date. He has seen great success at the Allianz Arena having already claimed five Bundesliga titles, two DFB-Pokal cups along with a Champions League medal in 2020.

As one of the greatest Canadian Soccer goalscorers, Davies has won 47 caps and scored 15 goals in an advanced role from the left. He was named Canadian Men’s Player of the Year on four occasions, CONCACAF Player of the Year twice and included in UEFA’s Team of the Year for 2020.

6. Junior Hoilett

Midfielder Junior Hoilett is one of the greatest Canadian Soccer goalscorers. He has played for a range of English soccer teams including Blackburn Rovers, Queens Park Rangers Cardiff City and Reading. Hoilett scored 65 goals in 517 club appearances and notably helped QPR win the Championship play-offs in 2014. He was awarded BBC Goal of the Month in November 2018, netting in a 2-1 comeback win over Wolverhampton Wanderers with BBC Sport describing his strike as a “fabulous first-time effort from 25 yards.”

Hoilett made his international debut in 2015 and has scored 16 times in 63 caps. He found the net three times during 2022 FIFA World Cup qualification and also finished as a CONCACAF Nations League runner-up.

5. Tosaint Ricketts

Tosaint Ricketts

One of the greatest Canadian Soccer goalscorers is forward Tosaint Ricketts, who over the course of 61 caps managed to score 17 goals, finding the net in both the 2014 and 2018 World Cup qualifying campaigns. He remains fifth on the all-time top goalscorers list for Canada’s national team.

Ricketts played most notably for Toronto FC and Vancouver Whitecaps. He has scored 69 goals in 327 games, winning the MLS Cup in 2017, a Lithuanian treble with Suduva and the Canadian Championship in 2022.

Lucas Cavallini featured for the likes of Uruguayan side Fenix, Puebla in the Mexican Liga
MX and Vancouver Whitecaps FC. He has made 286 club appearances and scored 95 goals in total. Cavallini won the Canadian Championship whilst at Vancouver Whitecaps back in 2022.

Amongst the greatest Canadian Soccer goalscorers, Cavallini made 40 international appearances, scoring 19 times for his country and is currently fourth on the list of Canada’s all-time top goalscorers. His best ever international year was 2019, where he found the net eight times in just seven international matches including five strikes during the 2019 CONCACAF Gold Cup.

3. Dwayne De Rosario

Dwayne De Rosario is one of the greatest Canadian Soccer goalscorers. The midfielder played 487 times for the likes of San Jose Earthquakes, Houston Dynamo and Canadia side Toronto FC. He won the MLS Cup on four occasions along with a Canadian Championship in both 2009 and 2010.

De Rosario made his international debut in 1998, going on to claim 81 caps for his country and scored 22 goals. He helped his national side win the CONCACAF Gold Cup in 2000. De Rosario was named in Major League Soccer’s 25 Greatest Players and also inducted into Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame in 2022.

2. Jonathan David

Jonathan David

Amongst the greatest Canadian Soccer goalscorers, dynamic forward Jonathan David has made in 48 international appearances to date and scored 26 goals including seven strikes during 2022 World Cup qualification. In 2019, he was named Canadian Men’s Player of the Year and also won the CONCACAF Gold Cup Golden Boot.

David has featured over 260 times for Belgian side Gent, French team Lille and scored over 120 club career goals so far. He made an immediate impact following a move to France in 2020 by helping Lille lift the Ligue 1 title during his debut campaign.

Cyle Larin

Striker Cyle Larin has played most notably for Orlando City and Turkish side Besiktas, making 311 appearances and netting 112 club goals. He has won the Turkish Super Lig Turkish Cup and Belgian Super Cup whilst at Club Brugge.

Larin is perhaps the greatest Canadian Soccer goalscorer. He has earned 68 caps for his country and scored a record 29 times for the national side. Back in 2021, Larin struck 14 times in just 13 international appearances! He was named 2014’s American Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Year and also awarded MLS Rookie of the Year in 2015.
