Liverpool vs Crystal Palace Betting Preview

We’ve arrived at the final game of the Premier League season and what a strange old year it’s been. With the title decided and the relegation spots confirmed, all that’s left is to determine who will be qualifying for Europe, and what competition they’ll be playing in. Today, though, we’ll be taking a look at a game between two teams who have already got their desired silverware this season – Liverpool and Crystal Palace.

Liverpool are the champions of English football for the 20th time and they have managed to draw level with rivals Manchester United once again. It’s been a long time coming and while the quality of the title race hasn’t quite been what it was in the last few years, it must be said that the Reds, under the guidance of Arne Slot, have done a tremendous job of fighting their way through a whole lot of struggles since the summer.

On the flip side, you’ve got Crystal Palace. After a poor start to the campaign, people weren’t sure whether or not Oliver Glasner would be able to turn the fortunes of the Eagles around. As it turns out, he was exactly the right kind of guy to do just that, as he’s proven by winning the FA Cup last weekend, securing the club their first major trophy in a history that dates back to 1861.

As you can probably imagine, there’s a certain expectation that this game is going to be nothing more than a friendly between two sets of fans who are very, very happy, and two sets of fans who will meet again in the Community Shield in just a few short months. Alas, we’re choosing to look on the bright side, and we’re going to believe that these teams will want to put on a bit of a show.

So whether you’re looking to get bonus offers or you just want to know a bit more about this game, we’re here to lay out how we think it’s all going to play out at Anfield.

This one will be slow to get going as both teams soak up the atmosphere and enjoy what is going to be a day of celebration, regardless of what happens on the pitch. Then, when we finally start to get into it, we’re hoping that we do wind up with something resembling a friendly sparring match between two teams who want to sign off with a win.

We’re confident in saying that both will be able to get on the scoresheet and we actually think that it’ll be the hosts who do so first, with Palace pegging them back on two different occasions. This will take us down the path of a 2-2 draw, and while we’d like to see a bit of late drama, ultimately, a point will likely be a result that both will be pretty content with.

From there, Liverpool will lift the Premier League trophy in front of fans for the very first time, and Palace will get ready for their own parade on Monday.

Official prediction: Liverpool 2-2 Crystal Palace
