And unlikely to be ready in time to feature in this weekend’s Premier League clash with Crystal Palace — just as the reader may need to order admission essay, a medical examination is expected to take place before the end of the week for Dorgu ahead of his big-money move to Old Trafford.

A native of Copenhagen, Patrick Dorgu has been utilized largely across the right-hand side of Lecce’s attack this season, despite performing expertly in his natural left-wing-back position, the Danish youngster is expected to bolster United’s lack of stature and expertise.

Currently utilizing natural right-footed defender, Diogo Dalot in that position amid the continued absence of starting defender, Luke Shaw — as well as the inconsistency of Dutch defender, Tyrell Malacia, United’s pursuit of the previously mentioned, Patrick Dorgu is likely to mark the first addition of the Amorim-era since his move to the Old Trafford post back in November.

And in terms of further signings this window — with deals forbidden beyond Monday next week, United are reportedly weighing up a potential move to sign French youngster, Mathys Tel — who is competent at playing across the front three of an attacking setup.

However, another incoming at Old Trafford will reportedly rely on outgoings — with Brazilian wideman, Antony departing the club on a loan move for the remainder of the season to link up with La Liga side, Real Betis.

Furthermore, United are also reportedly open to offers for Argentine winger, Alejandro Garnacho, as well as academy product, Marcus Rashford — who is being heavily linked with a massive move to FC Barcelona in both a loan and permanent transfer

Expected to depart his boyhood club this month following his latest rift with head coach, Amorim, Rashford’s immediate future was cast into further doubt over the course of the weekend, after the Portuguese coach again called into question his performances in training.

“It’s always the same reason: the training, the way I see a footballer should do in life. It’s every day, every detail,” said Ruben Amorim in his post-match press conference at Craven Cottage about why Marcus Rashford was not available.

“If things don’t change, I will not change. It’s the same situation for every player, if you do the maximum and right things we can use every player.

“You can see on the bench we miss a bit of pace on the bench. But I would put [Man Utd goalkeeper coach Jorge] Vital before a player [Marcus Rashford] who doesn’t give the maximum every day.”
