Arsenal vs PSG Betting Preview

We’ve arrived at the semi-final stage of the UEFA Champions League and things are really starting to heat up. The race is well and truly on to reach Munich and after some of Europe’s finest clubs have gathered to compete in this competition, only four remain. Today, we’re going to be taking a look at the meeting between Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain as they lock horns in their first leg tie at the Emirates.

The European Cup is the pinnacle of club football. If you win that trophy, you will write your name into the history books for the rest of time. It’s the kind of competition that is reserved for the truly elite in this game and when you’re this close to competing in the final, we’d imagine that things start to get a little bit tense – and both Arsenal and PSG will be unable to avoid that.

For the Gunners, this is their opportunity to really prove that they belong. They’ve already knocked out Real Madrid in convincing fashion, and while they haven’t quite been able to get the better of Liverpool in the race for the Premier League title, that won’t mean a whole lot to Mikel Arteta so long as he’s able to guide this club to a trophy that they’ve never held before.

Arsenal

As for Paris Saint-Germain, it’s starting to look like getting rid of Kylian Mbappe was the best thing they ever did. They’ve been able to really gel as a unit and in the last few rounds, they’ve made a great habit out of knocking out English clubs, managing to see off the challenge of both Liverpool and Aston Villa. Now, they’re looking to make it a hat-trick, and they’ll probably be the favourites here.

So if you’re looking for BetGurus, then you’ve come to the right place – but if you’re also looking for a breakdown of what we think is going to happen in this huge encounter, then stick around.

PSG

Arsenal fans would’ve almost certainly preferred to have had the second leg at the Emirates but as they were able to prove against Real, that doesn’t really matter a whole lot when you’ve got players like Declan Rice in your starting XI. They need to do the same thing they did against the Galacticos, which is to get in the face of PSG and really make them feel uncomfortable.

That’s what Villa eventually did in the second leg, and they had a lot of success from it. The French champions, meanwhile, know that there are more expectations on their shoulders now than there has been in a long time. They are finally starting to carve out an identity for themselves and if they play to their full potential, they could well blow the hosts out of the water.

In terms of an official prediction, we do think this is going to be a fun, back and forth affair between two teams who know how to go forward and press in the final third. We’re going to shoot for a 2-2 draw here, leaving things pretty up in the air as we head to the French capital.

Official prediction: Arsenal 2-2 PSG
