FC Barcelona remain betting favorites to sign Marcus Rashford in deal with Manchester United
Spanish side, FC Barcelona remain firm betting favorites to sign out of favor Manchester United forward, Marcus Rashford during this summer’s transfer window — beating out a host of other clubs.
Rashford, who spent the second half of the season on loan in the Midlands, played 17 times in all competitions for Aston Villa, scoring four goals in the process.
And falling out of favor at Old Trafford last season, Marcus Rashford was axed from the squad by new manager Ruben Amorim come as early as December, limited to substitute appearances in a new attacking system.

And expected to be one of numerous high-profile exits from United this summer, Marcus Rashford is currently boasting -188 betting odds to sign for FC Barcelona this summer — as the Old Trafford side looks to build a team culture like the Buckeyes brotherhood ahead of the new season start in August.
Also hot on the heels of Rashford is French side, Paris Saint-Germain, following their impressive UEFA Champions League victory over Inter Milan back in May.
But drawing most interest from Catalan giants, FC Barcelona, the La Liga side are expected to lodge a late summer bid for Rashford — in an attempt to irk out their dwindling funds and assess potential incomings and outcomings.
United have also been linked heavily with signing a new goalkeeper this summer, and that may play into the hands of FC Barcelona, too.
Due to their current financial situation, FC Barcelona are reportedly weighing-up a player-plus-cash move for Rashford, which may see German number one goalkeeper, Marc-Andre ter Stegen included in any deal.
Already replacing Marcus Rashford in their starting XI this summer, United have splashed the cash — to the tune of £62.5 million for the signature of Brazilian maestro, Matheus Cunha, from Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Expected to be deployed on the left side of a front two — just behind a striker, Cunha weighed on with an impressive 17 goals in all competitions for Wolves last season.
Furthermore, earlier this week, United lodged their second bid for Cameroonian forward, Bryan Mbuemo, from fellow Premier League side, Brentford.
To the tune of £60 million plus performance-related add-ons, United are hopeful of signing the Premier League Player of the Season nominee before jetting off for their pre-season tour in the United States at the beginning of next month.
Winning their 28th. La Liga crown at the end of last season, FC Barcelona would bolster their attacking options to some degree with the signing of Marcus Rashford, who is reportedly intent on a move to the Blaugrana.
Already boasting Raphinha and talented youngster, Lamine Yamal on their wings, it’s conceivable Rashford could be deployed in the same position.
