Jonathan David plays up Premier League move as Man United chase free scoring Lille striker
Off the back of another blistering start to Ligue 1 football, Lille striker, Jonathan David has fueled the fire on a potential move to the Premier League – with Man United weighing up a move for another forward to bolster their attacking options.
David, who was born in New York and plys his trade with French side, Lille – has made another stunning start to his domestic season with the side, netting 11 times already this season, before scoring a further six times in UEFA Champions League competition.

Recently netting his 101st. goal in all competitions for the Lille side, David finished both his previous two seasons for the club sat on an astonishing 26 goals, having previously played his football in neighborring Belgium for Pro League side, Gent.

Along with a potential move for David in the summer, Man United reportedly also have eyes set on a big-money move for Swedish striker, Viktor Gyokeres – with the Sporting Lisbon goalscorer a keen admirer of newly-minted Man United head coach, Ruben Amorim since his move from Coventry.
Notably, the above-mentioned David is not the only Lille player to find himself linked to a potential move to Man United – with former academy graduate, Angel Gomes also rumored to be weighing up a potential return to Old Trafford as part of a free transfer ahead of next season.
As far as other potential incomings at Man United, the club are set to prioritize a summer swoop for a wing-back – with another potential Canadian addition linked with a move to the club in the form of Bayern Munich attacking full-back, Alphonso Davids.
And as for a potential January move for the club, amid injury and fitness worries for both Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia, United are current betting favorites to sign Chelsea defender, Ben Chilwell – with the UEFA Champions League winner struggling for minutes in Enzo Maresca’s progressing side.
Any move for the aforenoted, David, however, may prove tricky for Man United, with league rivals, Arsenal also weighing up a potential move to sign the Lille forward to add to their forward line – currently boasting Kai Havertz up top in a rather topsy-turvy false 9 position at the Emirates Stadium.
Furthermore, with the ageing Robert Lewandowski still leading the line for FC Barcelona, Lille forward, David has been identified as a potential replacement for the Polish goalscorer in the future.
