Man United weigh up transfer for Ollie Watkins as betting odds receive massive slash

Amid their failed search for a new goalscoring forward so far this summer, Man United have seen odds slashed on a deal to sign Aston Villa striker, Ollie Watkins – in a rather shock move for the England international.

Emerging as Aston Villa’s first-choice striker since his move from Brentford five years ago, in the time since, Watkins, 29, has scored an impressive 75 goals for the Midlands club.

And landing his role up top in Unai Emery’s system following the lucrative departure of Jhon Duran – in his faltering move to the Middle East, Watkins has scored more 15 goals in all competitions for Villa in his five seasons with the club.
