Report – Manchester United negotiating terms of loan deal for Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat

Per reports this Wednesday evening, Manchester United are currently negotiating terms with Serie A side, Fiorentina, which would see Moroccan holding midfielder, Sofyan Amrabat make a loan move to Old Trafford before the slamming of the summer transfer window this weekend.

United, who have been left short on options in the midfield following the departure of Brazilian midfielder, Fred, and a pre-season injury to emerging prospect, Kobbi Mainoo, are also expected to allow Dutch midfielder, Donny van de Beek leave on loan to French side, Lorient before the deadline.

And with calls for reinforcements for Erik ten Hag’s side, reports from The Athletic have confirmed United’s interest in Moroccan midfielder, Amrabat, who has been identified as a potential backup option to Brazilian midfielder, Casemiro, in an ever-revolving midfield three for the Premier League side.

Over the course of the summer, reports have detailed how the Fiorentina number six have been pursuing a move to United, in a bid to link up with ex-head coach, ten Hag, who serve as his manager at Eredivisie side, Utrecht.

And despite mulling over a deal to take Bayern Munich midfielder and former Ajax star, Ryan Gravenberch on loan for the season, reports today detail how United are now negotiating a deal with Fiorentina, which would see Ambarat join on a loan deal, with an obligation to buy in the future explored, as United look to remain in the parameters of FFP.

Earlier this summer, soccer betting advice saw market availability on a move for Ambarat shorten as close as 3/1 to see the Moroccan move to Merseyside rivals, Liverpool, however, it now appears United are frontrunners to land his signature, while Jurgen Klopp’s side reportedly weigh up a move for the above-mentioned, Gravenberch.

News of negotiations for Ambarat come following recent reports this week, which detailed how United were pursuing another loan deal before the close of the window, this time for Spanish full back, Marc Cucurella, with ten Hag looking to bolster left back options amid untimely injuries to both natural full backs, Tyrell Malacia, and Luke Shaw.

As things stand, United are side to have agreed personal terms with the former Brighton & Hove Albion defender, while negotiations for a £7,000,000 loan fee with Chelsea continue.

Furthermore, ahead of the transfer window’s closing on Friday, the Old Trafford side are set to confirm the arrival of Turkish international, Altay Bayindir, who is expected to arrive from Fenerbache and serve as the understudy to summer arrival, Andre Onana – as United’s number two, Dean Henderson makes a permanent move to Premier League side, Crystal Palace.

The possible acquisition of Amrabat, Cucurella, and Bayindir for United, would see the trio arrive alongside the recent signings of Onana from Champions League finalists, Inter Milan, as well as English international, Mason Mount from Chelsea, as well as highly-touted Danish forward, Rasmus Hojlund – who is reportedly in line for a debut outing against Arsenal on Sunday, following his big-money arrival from Serie A side, Atalanta earlier this summer.
