There are plenty of iconic rivalries that have been part of the Premier League over the years, but few are quite as revolutionary as Manchester United vs Arsenal.

Throughout the course of their respective time in the top flight, they’ve both had a lot of ups and downs. For the most part, Manchester United have been the more dominant of the two. With that being said, the Red Devils are currently enduring their worst season in recent memory – whereas Arsenal are right in the mix in the title race.

Alas, when they collide on March 9th, none of that is going to matter. Old Trafford is going to be as loud as ever when United play host to the Gunners, and we expect something really special to happen between these two old foes.

Ahead of the game, we thought it’d be good to take a look at the game and break down what we believe is going to happen.

Whether you’re on US betting sites or venturing elsewhere, this is one you’re going to want to put of money on. Why? Because it’s such an unpredictable clash. Blow for blow, Arsenal are the better team right now and it isn’t particularly close. However, Ruben Amorim has proven that he knows how to get his players up for the big games.

For us, this is going to come down to whether or not Arsenal can get into an early rhythm. Everyone is aware of the fact that they’ve been struggling when it comes to injuries, but in a game like this, you can’t afford to make excuses. You need to utilise the star powers you have at your disposal, even if it’s just a teenage wonderkid looking to make an impact.

Manchester United are starting to have injury problems piling up too, which strangely makes this one all the more strange and alluring. We expect to see a few nervous mistakes in the first 15-20 minutes, mainly because of the stakes that are involved.

United aren’t in any real danger of relegation but at the very least, they’ll be eager to vault themselves back into the top half of the table. Right now, they’re being embarrassed every other week, and they need to prove that they’re more than just a handful of superstars thrown together with players that don’t fit the system.

In terms of how we think the game itself will play out, we’re backing Arsenal to dictate the pace in the middle of the park and really play this match on their own terms – for the first hour or so. From there, we can picture a world in which the pressure starts to get to them, as they struggle with knowing just how difficult it’s going to be to chase down Liverpool at the top.

The hosts will get on the scoresheet and, if the crowd gets behind them, could even push on and get all three points. In this instance, though, we’re going to say that they’ll share the spoils in Manchester.
