Manchester United vs Tottenham Betting Preview
We’ve arrived at the UEFA Europa League final and after a new group stage followed by some of the most thrilling knockout ties of all time, we’re now down to just two clubs. Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur will battle it out in an all-English tie that promises to be an incredibly passionate, emotion-filled affair – but only one of them can leave Bilbao with that famous trophy.
For both of these clubs, it’s kind of insane to think that they’re going to be playing in a European final with the possibility of playing in the Champions League next season. Why? Well, because in truth, they’ve been pretty terrible in the Premier League. They are deep in the bottom half of the table and if it wasn’t for the poor performances of the bottom three, they’d be in real danger of being in a relegation battle.
Alas, they decided to put everything they had into the Europa League, and it’s worked out quite well for them. Ruben Amorim and Ange Postecoglou both have a lot of pressure on their shoulders to deliver but if they can win this game, it may well eradicate everything that’s gone wrong in the campaign up to this point.
For United, they are a million miles away from where they want to be. There are already questions arising regarding the new ownership regime, with some wondering whether or not the heart of the club is being stripped away. With that being said, they’ve got the money necessary to turn things around, and that’s what the Red Devils’ faithful fanbase is holding onto.
For Spurs, their wait for a trophy has been going on for 17 years now. That’s an astonishing amount of time for a club of their stature, and the calls for Ange to be sacked have only grown louder and louder. However, the Australian sensation has stuck to his guns, and he’s made everyone believe that he can do exactly what he’s always done: win silverware in his second year.
So whether you’re here to check out https://www.10bet.co.za/ or you just want to know a bit more about the game, we’re here to run down how we think this final is going to play out.
Firstly, we’re just going to come out and say it – this isn’t going to be a classic. We’re being generous when saying that both teams will get on the scoresheet but outside of those goals, which will more than likely come from set pieces, we don’t think there’s going to be much of note that happens in the game itself.
United have quality and Spurs have quality in their respective ranks but as time goes on, it feels as if there will be a greater sense of fear as opposed to excitement. Neither will want to do anything to jeopardise winning the trophy, which will eventually lead us down the path of penalties. In that scenario, we’re going to say that United will get the job done.
Official prediction: Manchester United 1-1 Tottenham (United win 4-2 on penalties)
