Victor Osimhen open to Man United move as Old Trafford side hunt new summer striker

Goalscoring talent, Victor Osimhen is reportedly open to a potential summer move to Man United from Italian side, Napoli – with the former looking to massively bolster their attacking options come the end of a torrid season.

Osimhen, who has spent this season on loan at Turkish side, Galatasaray following the loan arrival of Romelu Lukaku to Naples, has enjoyed a goal-laden spell in Asia.

Victor Osimhen on Man United radar for summer move

And fans of sportsbetting in Florida will be delighted to know odds on a summer move for Victor Osimhen to Man United are set to be dramatically slashed with a host of bookies, amid apparent interest from the Nigerian in a summer move.

Beginning his career with Bundesliga side, Wolfsburg before a move to Charleroi in Belgium, Osimhem majorly caught the eye during his side with Lille in Ligue 1.

However, linking up with Napoli five years ago, Victor Osimhen would guide the Serie A club to a successful Scudetto.

Along the way to boot, Osimhen notably smashed a host of goalscoring records laid out by his fellow African goalscorers from the past, namely FIFA Balon d’Or winner, George Weah, and Cameroonian powerhouse, Samuel Eto’o.

However, given the arrival of Belgian striker, Lukaku to the club at the beginning of the campaign under the guidance of former head coach, Antonio Conte – Osimhen was handed a loan move to Turkey.

Amid reported interest from the likes of Premier League side, Chelsea – who failed to reach terms of an agreement with Osimhen, the pacy forward instead chose Galatasaray over a move to the Saudi Pro League.

For United, the Old Trafford side has publicly struggled both on and off the field this campaign, and currently resides a lowly thirteenth in the Premier League – en route to scoring what would come as their worst finish in the competition’s history.

And furthermore, up top this season, it doesn’t make for great viewing. Beyond both Rasmus Hojlund and Dutch striker-come-number-nine, Joshua Zirkzee, United are lacking any real best-in-class attacking outlet.

Shipping out the trio of wide players, Jadon Sancho, Marcus Rashford, and Antony on loan this season, the group are set to be included in a mass exodus from the club in the transfer window.

However, any possible sales are thought to help bolster the war chest on offer for Portuguese coach, Ruben Amorim – in what will come as his first summer transfer window in the Old Trafford dugout.

But it’s not only United who are reportedly in the market for Victor Osimhen, with a return to his prior Ligue 1 stomping ground thought to be a possibility.

Following their penalty shoot-out win over Liverpool to progress in the UEFA Champions League this month, Paris Saint Germain are now considered – alongside Real Madrid as one of the betting favorites to scoop the title come the end of the season.

And having offloaded the likes of Lionel Messi, Neymar, and Kylian Mbappe in recent years, Victor Osimhen is thought to be highly considered to lead the line for years to come for the Parisian club.

Set to command a sizeable transfer fee for the striker, Napoli are reportedly open to discussing terms if a price tag of £63,000,000 is met with potential suitors.
