Top Three Favourites for the 2026 World Cup Golden Glove

Top Three Favourites for the 2026 World Cup Golden Glove

The World Cup is nearly here with over 30 nations heading to North America chasing the ultimate glory.

Will Argentina repeat their feat and go all the way, or can France get back to the top? Will England get over their trophy wait? Or will the USA shock the world and get a home World Cup win?

The upcoming 2026 World Cup tournament has so many outcomes, from who will score the most, who will pull off the best goal, to who will win the whole tournament.

With that in mind, here’s the top three favourites for the 2026 World Cup Golden Glove.

3. Unai Simon – Spain – 9/2

Unai Simon

Unai Simon, Spain’s leading goalkeeper and number one for the last four years. The shot-stopper was a huge part of the side that won the Euro’s two years ago and is expected to go again.

Simon is heavily favoured by Spain boss Luis de la Fuente and the Spaniards are expected to go far this summer. No team is complete without a strong goalkeeper and Simon fits the bill. He will be key if Spain are to return to champions as they did in 2010.

2. Jordan Pickford – England – 6/1

Jordan Pickford

The self-proclaimed madman, Jordan Pickford comes second on this list. England’s main keeper for some time now, the Everton player has rarely let his nation down and will go into the World Cup as the starter.

England are another team tipped to go all the way, but it will be impossible without a good tournament from Pickford. The Three Lions have a squad said to be built on balance, but expect Pickford to lead from the back as without him, England won’t go far.

1. Emiliano Martinez – Argentina – 4/1

Emiliano Martinez

2022’s Golden Glove winner returns to the World Cup as the favourite to win it once more. The Argentinian goalkeeper is key to their team and with an ageing quad, may have more to do this time round.

Emiliano Martinez pulled of some super saves in 2022 and has continued to impress with Aston Villa, keeping his form going.

He goes to the USA not only looking to retain his crown, but guide Argentina to glory from the back once again.
